Haslar Detention Centre

Haslar Immigration Removal Centre has been a source of significant concern for Gosport residents. We are peacefully campaigning to ensure that the local community is properly consulted on decisions affecting the site and that the interests of Gosport people are represented at every level. We have been gathering resident testimonies, attending council meetings, and building a coalition of local voices.

Fort Blockhouse

Fort Blockhouse is a site of deep historical significance to Gosport and the Royal Navy. We are peacefully protesting its use as an illegal immigrant processing centre, which we believe is inappropriate for this location and damaging to the local community. We have submitted a formal petition to our MP, organised peaceful demonstrations, and are working to raise national awareness of the situation.

Save Gosport High Street

Gosport High Street has seen a dramatic rise in empty units over the past five years. We have been lobbying the council, gathering resident signatures, and working with local business owners to build a compelling case for investment. In June 2026 we secured a formal consultation meeting with the council's economic development team — a significant step forward.

Keep Gosport Ferry Running

Campaigned successfully to maintain the Gosport Ferry service after proposed cuts threatened to remove evening and weekend sailings.

Stop the Library Closure

Fought to keep Gosport's central library open. Full closure was prevented; reduced hours remain in place and we continue to monitor the situation.
